Who We Help

Experienced guidance for more than a tax return.

Our clients come to us with businesses to run, families to plan for, financial records that need attention, and tax issues that do not always fit neatly into one category. We take the time to understand the complete situation before determining the right next step.

Business Owners

Tax, accounting and planning support designed around the realities of running a closely held business.

Individuals & Families

Professional tax preparation and planning for individuals whose financial lives have become more complex.

Estates & Trusts

Careful preparation and tax guidance when fiduciary responsibilities, beneficiaries and tax requirements intersect.

Clients Facing IRS or State Issues

Experienced assistance responding to notices, audits, collection matters and unresolved tax problems.

Business Owners

Our firm is implementing a two-meeting approach for new business clients. The initial meeting is to introduce who we are, get to know who the client is and what services are needed, and discuss what their goals are. The second meeting outlines our engagement with them and what services we can offer to meet their needs and goals. They are assigned to one of our experienced staff to be a point of contact for the services we will be providing.

Individuals & Families

For individuals and families we have two different types of services. For individuals and families that only need tax preparation services, we meet with new clients to determine their tax filing needs. We prepare an engagement letter that outlines their services. For clients with more complex issues, we often set up multiple meetings to discuss tax planning and tax strategies and how to implement the strategies.

Estates & Trusts

For estates and trusts, we handle ongoing grantor trusts and both simple and complex trusts. We work with attorneys in filing estate (Form 706) returns for high-wealth families.

Clients Facing IRS or State Issues

We handle state reemployment tax and sales tax audits, IRS correspondence audits, IRS on-site audits and responses to IRS notices. It is standard practice for us to prepare a power of attorney form with the IRS so we can assist clients with IRS notices and audits.
